Few things call to her as loudly as the stars, and she will always find the highest point to watch them from. Tonight simply happens to be a mountainside.
She's not alone up there. He's already up there, though maybe for slightly different reasons. It doesn't matter what they are. When he spots a flash of red hair he forgets all about them and decides to try to move closer to see what the elf is up to. With all his dwarfish stealth.
Ah, yes. Dwarvish stealth. When she first hears it, she tenses and braces for some kind of attack, but she's becoming used to the sound of dwarves, and perhaps even to distinguish amongst them. But for the time, it is enough to know that it is a dwarf that follows her and not an orc.
As she settles down on a piece of bare rock, she waits for her company to make themselves known.
And he is blissful and thinks he's actually managed to close in undetected. He's not really sure what to say, though. What if he's interrupting something important that he shouldn't go near. Some elven ritual or something. Which of course makes him even more curious.
He might not really mean it, but now she's curious. She knows all too well what Elves think of anything in particular, but she knows nothing of Dwarves except what Thranduil sneers. "What else do you see?"
"Elves are not known to overlook such things." She is well aware that Elves often overlook important things, especially those of her realm, but a certain amount of pride must be maintained.
She looks at him with this... face that says "I believe I heard a compliment, but I never receive true compliments, where am I missing the insult" but in the end, she still can't find the insult, and nearly blushes as she turns back to the stars.
"I have not known any Dwarven archers." She's not good at the compliment thing.
"Who taught you?" She's so curious about him, about dwarves in general, and he's really the only one who isn't instantly "omg ew elf!!" And okay, maybe she'd come see him anyway, but it's always nice to have an excuse.

Of course he smiles like he has no clue what she's talking about.
"When'd you show up? Didn't notice you."

"You're perfection."
