Stargazing

 Few things call to her as loudly as the stars, and she will always find the highest point to watch them from. Tonight simply happens to be a mountainside.

And he is blissful and thinks he's actually managed to close in undetected. He's not really sure what to say, though. What if he's interrupting something important that he shouldn't go near. Some elven ritual or something. Which of course makes him even more curious.

For a moment, she's completely lost in watching the stars above her, but the sight would be better shared.

"You cannot enjoy the view from the shadows."

Busted.

He comes over and drops down on a rock next to her. The plan is to try and stay on the same level.

Of course he smiles like he has no clue what she's talking about.

"When'd you show up? Didn't notice you."

"Indeed?" No, she's not buying it for a moment. "Here I thought I was alone out here."

"Even an elf can't always be right."

His smile is just going to grow wider.

"And I'm sure dwarves always are?"

"Being this close to the ground gives us a better view of things."

He says that with a serious face, but it still manages to not be fully serious. He doesn't really mean it.
